Promo Technologies is dedicated to the absolute privacy of its customers and online visitors. As a total internet privacy solutions company, we believe that privacy and protection of one's personal information are fundamental human rights and that, moreover, all individuals should be empowered to exercise their right to information self-determination.
At Promo Technologies, we hold our products, operations and our people strictly accountable to the highest standards of privacy and protection of personal data. We adhere to the strongest interpretation of the Principles of Fair Information Practices, and strive to exceed all legal requirements respecting the privacy and protection of personal data, regardless of jurisdiction.
This document discloses our information handling practices and is intended to provide you with a complete and accurate basis for making informed decisions when choosing to communicate with Promo Technologies via our websites. When personal information of yours is collected
Promo Technologies does not collect personal information on website visitors without their informed consent. Any information provided is completely voluntary. In cases when such information is requested, visitors are prompted to provide the minimum amount of information necessary for us to provide the service. Typically, personal information is collected:
- When submitting an application for 'Free Electricity'
- To allow us to respond to visitors' inquiries and requests
- To allow us to process purchase orders
- When registering in the secure area of our sites

Use of IP addresses, log files, cookies and web bugsServer logs
Our servers automatically log information about visits to our websites in the normal course of establishing and maintaining web connections. Server logs record statistical information on visitors' IP addresses, operating systems, time of visit, pages viewed, etc., and identify categories of visitors by items such as domains and browser types. These usage statistics are reported in the aggregate to our webmasters, and are used to improve our websites and to ensure they provide the best web experience for visitors. Raw server logs are purged on a regular basis. No attempt is ever made to link server log information to any other data in such a way as to identify individual visitors.
Cookies:
Promo Technologies takes your concerns about cookies and privacy very seriously. At this time we do not make use of cookies. We strictly limit our use of cookies in terms of their data content, duration, and assurances of anonymity.
Web bugs:Promo Technologies websites do not use web bugs.

How is your Personal Information used? Your personal information is used by Promo Technologies employees for the intended purpose stated at the time it is collected, e.g. to reply to your questions or to provide a requested service, and only on a need-to-know basis. Your data is never used for secondary or unrelated purposes, unless otherwise requested by you. The only instance is which your personal information is regularly shared with parties outside of Promo Technologies, is when you register for "free electricity". In this case, your personal information is shared wth UCSA because it is required to provide you with the services that we have promised. If there is an instance where your personal information may be shared with parties outside of Promo Technologies, you will be asked for permission beforehand.
It is Promo Technologies policy never to share, trade, sell or otherwise disclose personal information to third parties without your explicit, informed consent or direction. Informed consent is sought:
- When required to deliver materials requested by a visitor (e.g. with the post office)
- To verify credit information when purchasing Promo Technologies products (e.g. with credit agencies)
Communication without consent could occur in the following circumstances:
- As required by law, e.g. through subpoena, search warrant or other legal process
- To collect bad debts
Product delivery: When paying by cash, we do not require that you provide us with any personal information unless you are ordering physical goods (e.g. "free electricity" certificate), which must be shipped, in which case we require a mailing address. Visitors have the opportunity to purchase or register for Promo Technologies products either online, or by mailing order forms to our business address. Personal information, such as your name and billing address are required for delivery. We maintain this information in a secure database in order to accommodate returns and questions about shipments. If you wish to see and, afterward, correct any information we have stored about you, you may do so by sending an email to support@promotechnologies.com.
Credit verification: When paying for a purchase by credit card, we are required for credit verification and fraud protection reasons to prompt you for your name, address, credit card number and expiry date, phone number and e-mail address. Promo Technologies shares your personal credit card information only with members of our credit card processing network so that we may validate your credit and protect ourselves against fraud. We encourage you to speak with your credit card issuer and find out what policies they have in place to protect your personal information when using your credit card. In cases where Promo Technologies has been the victim of credit card fraud, we may elect to share this information with the appropriate law enforcement authorities, and to pursue legal action. We do not store full credit card numbers in our databases - only the first and last four digits.
Support: In order to provide you with support should you experience problems using our products, you may be asked to provide sensitive information. Our support staff are trained to record only the minimum information necessary to respond to your concerns and provide you with a solution. Any information recorded is held strictly confidential on a secure database and is purged on a regular basis. If a visitor believes the site has collected excessive information, we encourage him or her to contact us at privacy@promotechnologies.com to raise any privacy concerns.[ Back ]
How long the information is kept? Most personal information we receive via our website is either not retained or is stored in aggregated (anonymized) format for statistical record-keeping purposes. Contact information about web visitors is kept as long as this information is needed to completely service the contact request. Mailing list information and email addresses are kept for only the period of time needed to facilitate the visitor's requests.[ Back ]
Links to third-party sites Because Promo Technologies wants your website experience to be as informationally rich as possible, we provide a number of links to third-party sites. Many of these external links are to UCSA repository of video files as it would be redundant to store the videos on this site. We assume no responsibility for the information practices of websites a user is able to access through ours, and strongly encourage all web visitors to review the privacy policies and statements of all externally-linked websites. These policies are usually found on a footer on the sites' home page and/or at the point of collection of personal information. Can I change or delete the information later?As a matter of policy, Promo Technologies collects and stores as little personal information on users and visitors as possible. Each visitor has the right of access to personal data they have submitted through Promo Technologies websites. Promo Technologies is committed to providing reasonable and practical access to visitors to allow them the opportunity to identify and correct any inaccuracies. When requested and where possible, Promo Technologies will delete personal information from current operational systems unless said information is needed to fulfill future obligations. However, it should be noted that to avoid fraud and mischief, proof of identity may be required in order to fulfill some personal information access and deletion requests.When personal information is retained, Promo Technologies assumes responsibility for keeping an accurate record of the information once a visitor has submitted and verified the data. Promo Technologies does not assume responsibility for verifying the ongoing accuracy of the content of personal information unless that information is being used in a decision process that may affect the data subject in a material way. What security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control? Promo Technologies has implemented high standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personal information from any loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Our security practices include, for example, use of firewalls and encryption.All Promo Technologies employees follow a company-wide security policy. Only authorized Promo Technologies personnel are provided access to secured programs.
